My retreats are a wonderful way to deepen your yoga practice, build community and connect to the power this holds for individual & collective healing. I have been running retreats since 2021 of varying lengths, themes & price ranges.

They are all centred around my practice, values & approach which you can read more about here.

“I love the mix of play, fun, space & stillness that is cultivated in Leonie’s retreats. To anyone considering a retreat with Leonie, I have lived experience of Leonie being incredibly caring, accepting and as adaptable as they can to ensure all uniquenesses are catered for in one space.”

Marley (they/them), Bristol – participant of Rest to Reawaken 2024 and Roots & Wings 2024.

[I imagine this looking like a main retreats page with this short blurb, then two sections of ‘upcoming’ with photos for each upcoming retreat which link to a page with more info. Then a second section with ‘past retreats’ and this is more of a list/overview of the past retreats with photos and testimonials]

“It was a wonderful weekend! Leonie did such a great job of being inclusive to everyone and explaining things in such an accessible and relatable way. I found it thought provoking and inspiring. I enjoyed that there was time to be playful and joke as well as heal and listen.”

Lynn, Bristol – 2022

“Leonie’s retreat was so beautiful. Their teaching style is so gentle and compassionate and their voice is the perfect guide through poses and meditations. I felt so safe and nurtured. Thank you Leonie!”

Amy-Beth, she/her, Bristol – 2023

Leonie creates a beautiful safe space for connecting to nature, my body and like-minded people; for reflection and sharing; for play and exploration. I come away feeling rested and like I have grown physically, mentally and emotionally. I have been before and I would go again.” Suzannah, she/her, Weston-Super-Mare – 2022 & 2023

“Roots & Wings has been such a playful and powerful time. The playfulness and power have been singing together with grief, anger, confusion. I’ve felt able to release some real heaviness and pain. I’ve reconnected with my body and as my body is, in relation to others, and nature and space. I felt encouraged to feel the support of the earth…Thank you for helping me to re-engage with this. Re-engage with yoga. Which is love.”

Alex, she/they – 2024

Wow! Deep community, joy that was bigger than I ever could have hoped for. Spiralling & cycling with you is probably the best decision I’ve made in a long time. Beyond grateful for the love, care, attention, and holding. So much healing, connection, laughter & joy!”

Ruth E. she/her, Bristol – 2023

“Leonie created the most magical and deeply intentional retreat space, with unbelievable attention to detail and their huge capacity for gentle holding and loving guidance. The space they created held immense queer joy, silliness, play, connection and community, as well as room for grief, struggle, edge- finding/boundary pushing, deep introspection and reflection. It was yoga in its truest, most holistic, philosophical form where mind body and spirit are not separated and the practice is found in everything, from the mat to mealtimes to dancing round campfires to washing up and bedtime. Transformational, brilliant, profound. Thank you.”

Suzannah, she/her, Weston-Super-Mare – 2022 & 2023

“I came away with a renewed relationship with spiritual practice, an embodied and intuitive sense of the sacred flowing in a grounded way through all the strands of life, body and space that genuinely felt different, lighter but deeper”

Ffin, they/them, Machynlleth – 2024

Truly transformative, reflective and very unexpected. My first retreat of this sort and I just could not have imagined it would be like this. Facilitation was on point, thoughtful, held. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so accepted as I am, safe and understood by a group of people, strangers, who I believe will now be life long friends. Here’s to new community! Big up to the boss team, Leonie, Issy, Babs and Laura. Honestly, you have created space for such magical growth, blossoms and blooms to occur. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Jade she/they/he, Bristol – 2024

“Not exaggerating when I say it was transformative. Thank you for cultivating a space where play, silliness and caring prevailed, alongside the opportunity to let go of some serious shit to make room for reflection and joy. I left having finally found a little queer community, and that was really special.”

Beccy, she/her, Birmingham – 2024

It’s really very difficult to find words that do justice to the experience of attending Leonie’s Spirals and Cycles Retreat. For me this was a tenderly held space, where so much connection and un-doing was possible. Leonie’s sharing of the practices is with such reverence for their history, and an obvious love and delight, that the spaces they hold are playful and warm, while also being full of learning and deep healing. I am so grateful for being able to attend, and the reconnection I have cultivated to myself, the land, and community.”

PAST

Rest to Reawaken 2024

A long weekend in the middle of Summer or Lammas, centred around rest, space & softness. An invitation to make the radical choice to rest and take refuge in the mystical practice of yoga nidra or ‘yogic sleep’. A simple schedule of up to four yoga nidra sessions a day with intentional space around this for quiet time, reflection, self-practice and to enjoy the beautiful Welsh lands.

Going on the Rest to Reawaken retreat came at the perfect time for me and I have taken away so much from it – there is so much power in rest! I had some uncomfortable and challenging times during the retreat, but I always felt I could be open about it and by the end of the retreat I felt so supported and held by both the group and Leonie. Everything about this retreat was thought very carefully about and the food was so delicious. I would happily go back on this retreat every year for the foreseeable future!”

Cloe, she/her, Bristol.

“Brilliant, brilliant.  Leonie is so skilled in creating a space that is inclusive and open and is held in such a way that the space and dynamic always feels natural and easy to the extent that it doesn’t even feel like it is being facilitated. A transformative and beautiful experience – even these words don’t do it justice. I would absolutely recommend this retreat to any and every human being who wants to rest, connect, grieve, celebrate, laugh, cry, any or all of the above or anything more.  Such a beautiful space to think about and celebrate all the things that make us humans, but from a lying down position!”

Anonymous, Bristol.

“This retreat was like a luxurious balm for the soul. Rest, relaxation, connection to self, community, and nature, nourishing food, good craic, it had it all! I couldn’t recommend Leonie’s teaching and space holding capabilities enough.”

Anonymous,  Bristol

“Thank you for an incredible retreat! I was so happy to be a part of it & was left with warm fuzzy feelings that lasted way beyond the retreat. It was one of the highlights of my summer & I’d love to come for a retreat another time.”

Camila she/her, Bristol

Roots & Wings

A long weekend to move, breath, rest, play & connect; all held in the rugged beauty of the Welsh woodlands and coastline. Gathering as the year turns towards Autumn Equinox, offering a space to pause & reflect on the fruits of summer and what we might wish to release as the natural world begins to let go.
