“Leonie is a really friendly and brilliant teacher. Their instructions are clear and precise and you’re supported to try new variations as well as to work within your body’s limitations. The pace is perfect – poses are held long enough to be challenging and for your body to settle into them, and there’s enough time to make sure you’re in each pose correctly, but the overall flow is maintained. Totally recommend for people new to or returning to yoga, anyone who’s worried about not having an ‘instagram yoga body’ as well as anyone of any level who just wants a really lovely supportive group learning space without any cliquey or exclusive attitude. Loved this class.”

Kat, they/them, Bristol – Beehive Centre

“I come to Leonie’s Wednesday evening LGBTQIA+ community classes every week. The space they hold is a refuge that I can return to again and again, to reconnect with my body, my breath, my spirit, and my community.

Leonie’s tailored and accessible approach to yoga facilitation (asking participants how they’re feeling, what specific movements or body parts need attention, providing consent cards for physical adjustments) is truly special and I always come away feeling restored and uplifted and centred.

This is a magical class and I hope to keep coming every week for the foreseeable”

Anisha, she/her, Bristol – LGBTQIA+ Community Classes & Elevate

“The queer community classes have become a real part of my routine and has helped me to feel more comfortable in my body, whilst also challenging the limits of what I can do with my body.

Leonie is a lovely and bubbly teacher who is very aware of the limitations, many people’s bodies and has made yoga extremely accessible for all ranges of experience in yoga. I was nervous starting a class in a type of exercise that I wasn’t very experienced in, but I have quickly become, I feel, part of the community of the queer community yoga and I will continue to go as long as I possibly can.”

“My experiences during Leonie’s yoga class’ have been nothing but delightful. With an incredible ability to read the room well, Leonie guides us through a variety of sequences depending on the mood of the day, anything from gentle to fiery flows, and there is always space to stay true to my sovereignty and adapt the practice to what my bodies needs in the moment. Their authentic expression invites a lightheartedness and joyful flare which enables me to connect to the space from a playful curiosity which helps me to drop in with no doubtful thoughts like ‘am I doing this right?’ or ‘Does this look good enough?’ They incorporate activism by making the space queer friendly as well as de-colonising the practice by paying tribute to the lineage of the teachings at the end and inviting us to consider our privilege in relation to these practices – quite frankly revolutionary if you ask me!!!!”

Ember, he/they, Bristol – Beehive Centre & LGBTQIA+ Community Classes

“I am so grateful to Leonie. I love their authenticity and professionalism. They create a safe and inclusive space. They are very welcoming and make sure you are feeling comfortable, physically and emotionally. They will support you to explore your own limits with a very kind and caring approach, making sure you are following and honouring your own body. No judgement, no comparison. I love their yoga classes.”

Maria, she/her, Bristol – Beehive Centre

“Leonie radiates warmth and openness with the space they facilitate. It’s special to be so considerately held in community with other queer and trans people – and Leonie leads this beautifully. Leonie is adaptive and introduces movements that are tailored towards the needs of the group and this brings inclusive options that support much of what feels so safe about being in their class. It’s a delight to play in this practice. Thank you.”

What to expect at a YogaLoni class & group agreements

Uplifting and playful yoga classes, rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy & the elemental world. Exploring how we connect to ourselves, one another and the wider world around us, on our mat and beyond.

Expect to flow through a sequence of asana (physical postures) – sometimes dynamic, sometimes a slower flow – incorporating breathwork, meditation and philosophy throughout. You will be encouraged to find space and stability in your practice and to make it your own; listening and engaging with your body to develop a practice which is expansive, grounded and empowering – physically, mentally and emotionally.

All levels and abilities are welcome to my classes. I aim to make my classes accessible to as many bodies, minds and experiences as possible. Multiple options are always given throughout and I encourage you to drop me an email if you have any specific queries/concerns you wish to discuss.

As all my sessions take place in community spaces, there is such a beautiful range of experiences, identities & abilities. Accessibility is really important for me. AND I recognise that my classes will not be for everyone. In an effort to be clear about the limits of the space to ensure those of you who do come along are able to get as much out of your practice as you desire, I have developed group agreements. When you book, you will be ask to read and confirm your consent to these agreements before coming along. They are continually evolving so any feedback/reflections are always welcome!

Classes at The Beehive Centre are streamed online at the same time.

Cancellation Policy

For classes & events

When booking directly with me, cancellations are possible up to 24hrs and transfers 12hrs before a class. Bookings via MoveGB cancelled within 24hrs will incur a charge. If you are unable to attend class, I will happily send the recording along if requested.

Class passes are non-refundable.

For retreats

Cancellations before 1 month of a retreat are refundable, minus the non-refundable deposit.

For cancellations within 1 month of a retreat, the full amount is non-refundable.

However, if you are able to find a friend/family member to take the spot or if I have a waiting list, you will be issued a full refund (minus a £20 admin fee).

I would strongly recommend getting your own travel insurance to cover this possibility.

If the retreat is cancelled, your place will be transferrable to alternate dates and in certain circumstances refunds will be explored. Please rest assured that my intention would always be to figure out a solution that is best for all which still ensures my own financial sustainability. For this reason I strongly recommend seeking your own travel insurance.
